Effect of Laser Traverse Speed during Laser Hardening on Hardness Distribution and Microstructure of Hot Work Tool Steel H11

چکیده
The paper describes the effect of laser traverse speed during hardening on hardness and micro-structure. experimental material is hot work tool steel AISI H11 with samples sized 100Ă100Ă35 mm. initial state before quenched tempered. temperature constant at 1100 °C, selected was 1, 2, 4, 6 mm/s. A numerical simulation performed in DEFORM-3D software experiment showed tendencies displacement expected course hardness. Increasing leads to de-creased laser-hardened depth decreased drop heat-affected zone (HAZ). ex-perimental program confirmed results model. differences microstruc-ture were investigated by light (LM) scanning electron microscopes (SEM), which revealed an evident difference between surface area locality lowest Local differ-ences from perspective presence carbides analysed energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). This investigation optimize improve subsurface profile, essential for lifetime reliability forging dies.
